Underfloor heating is a fantastic and efficient floor heating system. However, the design of the heating elements means they are in close contact with the underside of your finish wooden floor. Because of this, not all types of wood flooring can be fitted over an underfloor heating system.
It’s ok to use an engineered wood, laminate flooring, as these floors are all designed to cope with dramatic changes in temperature. However, it’s always worth double checking with us on which flooring manufacturers recommend when it comes to using underfloor heating with there own specific products.
And please remember that no floor should be exposed to temperatures above 27 degrees. When we install our underfloor heating systems we use thermostats which are regulated to stop your floor from ever going above this temperature.
